Asus A8N sli Memory prob...

I have just built a new sys based on the Asus A8Nsli. I am having a prob. When I have just 512 (2x256) everything boot fine etc. When I put the other 512 (2x256) the sys seems to be booting but the monitor does not receive signal. Thought it might have been the older ram. Ordered a new set of DC ram identical to the other ram that is working in the A slots. Same situation. Is there a jumper or something else that needs to be changed?

if i'm sure if this is on target because i'm at work, but have you placed the 2 sticks of ram in slot A1 and B1? are your trying the dual channel setup?
 
Thanks for the reply, it turns out that I had done everything right, except remembering to switch my KVM switch back after using my other sys 🙂. I guess mistakes happen... Thank you for your reply, and sorry for the alarm. Just glad that things seem to be working...
