Asus A8n-SLI MB IDE controllers keeps trying to install

but it never finishes it says there was a compatability error...in My device manager I already have 2 primary Ide channels, 2 Secondary channels, and 3 standard Dual Channel IDE controllers, and then there are these 2 IDE channels with the yellow qm ...What gices ...am I missing something ....My computer works fine ..no problems with drives or anything....I have Win XP.... Its just very annoying....

would this be a windows problem or a Hardware problem....

My friend's MSI Neo2 did somethign similar - try disabling all startup items (start | run | msconfig --> Startup --> Disable all)
