As advertised on Asus website, their newest SLI board (Deluxe version) have dual LAN. I have an ADSL connection and the only thing I need to do to connect to internet is to register my MAC address with my ISP. I registered both MAC addresses (because there are 2 ports) of my motherboard. I've heard many good things about the nVidia gigabit LAN and I tried to use that port for my internet connection.

However, that port would not connect to internet at all. While the other one was able to get me connected! Does anyone know why this is happening?

I am running Windows XP SP2 if that matters. I have all the latest drivers installed.

When you look in device manager is the other nic card disabled? Try enabling it if so. Also you may have to power cycle your modem. Normally modems attach themselves to the MAC address, and I highly doubt it would be the same for the two nics onboard.
