In an effort to help everyone with A8N problems, I made this thread so that people won't buy incompatible RAM to compound the problem. Which memory sticks work, and if possible, what timings are you running at, or does SPD (default, didn't change) work? In single/dual channel mode? What brand and size? If possible, which chips does it use (Samsung TCCD, etc.)? Also, please specify the A64 CPU used in conjunction. Lastly, your memory voltage, power supply and/or power supply specs would be helpful too! FastEddie pointed out that the power supply may matter as well. Thanks.
Edit: Sorry guys, this list has been way too hard to maintain because of all the dots and spacing and researching required to complete the data item. I will still add anybody's post to the end though, and try to make it at least a little consistent. It's also very hard to give the people credit for contributing, but everybody who contributed to either of the compatible or incompatible lists will be listed below the list. Sorry I can't credit you next to your contribution but this list is getting massive, plus I have consolidated (exact) duplicates for ease of reading

[*]TakeMS 512 mb modules BD512TEC500 seems not to work in dual channel gives memory fail test. Also there is data corruption in windows with this memory and all sort of BSODs.
Not to mention you cant install windows at all because u get windows cant copy something.dll file...
At least it is so in my setup. Oh yeah i got mem fail test with two modules in both 1002 and 1003.5 and 1003,8 bioses...meanwhile asus pulled the betas off the site...so i hope there is hope yet.
One module in B1 slot works good...Two in A1 and B1 is a no-no.

Possible/Unknown/Mixed Results/"Boots but doesn't work" List:
[*]having issues with my rig (a8n-sli-d,3500,corsair xms pro 3200s
ran fine for a week after setup, but this was due to not utilizing system and pressing a full load. weekend came and after loading doom3 and prince of persia, and ut2004. all games crashed with BSOD, mem dumps.
checked bios...
system is set on quiet and cool, running 32-34c idle temps. no oc'ing done. bios set to auto. tried manually configuring dram setup to 2.2.2.5 @1t... noticed mem was set to 200mhz on auto??? changed to 400mhz. games now sort of play, but game integrity is comprimised: sluggish motion, flickering and motion clipping going on. still occasionally crashes. while games are in play windows task manager is showing cpu usage at 100% constant.
bought another video card to test, swapped... and same problem.
pulled mem channel a, same problem. swapped b out with other ddr module, same problem.
i am assuming this is a memory issue, and thanks to this article i see it isnt a compatibility issue, but if anyone has a suggestion or similar problems plz chime in.
***also, my ez selector card was dual card side in slot, even though the manual says it comes factory for single use. to make it more confusing the dumb bastard in charge of the user manual used a picture of the dual card side in the selector right next to where it says "the factory sets ez-selector card for single use"
maybe im just going nuts with these problems but single side should be facing the blue pci-e, right?
