Oops, now i see the motherboards board--just posted on General Hardware...
My question was: I like the LED display on the Corsair XMS Xperts but they don't show compatibility on corsair's website. However, I've seen a couple of posters with this combo... does it work or not? Are there some problems?
thanks,
Shirles

The Corsair XMS Xperts are basically the CMX512-3200XL with added LED display,

and it certainly is compatible with the ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe mobos.

BTW -- welcome to AF, shirlesmiff :)

I'm running 2 sticks of this RAM in my A8N SLI Deluxe and it rocks. No problems whatsoever.

4 sticks of anything isnt a great idea, performance-wise. You'll have to use less aggressive timings, as well as a 2T command rate if you run 4 sticks.

Do you need more than 1 gig of RAM?

I guess I don't need more than 1 GB, but who knows... it might help when editing videos or something. Guess it's not needed for DOOM3?

so I have the two sticks in and they work fine... for the most part. One stick shows a frequency of 0.00 Mhz and the activity LEDs on the stick never change. (the corsair control panel also shows a min activity of 12 and a max of 12)... mofrack, do yours do that too?

Thanks
