Anyone running this beta BIOS? Basically what happend was I thought my computer's bios was messing up my system. I updated it to the 1011 final version and my system would boot into Windows with 1GB 512x2 installed but it would freeze either right when it got into Windows or after maybe a few minutes in being in Windows. I troubleshooted a little more and found out it isn't my memory modules that are at fault but the motherboard.

So I decided to change the BIOS to the newest beta and so far so good. I've been in Windows for the past ten minutes and all is swell. I'm hoping it will remain this way. Anyone else have problems with 1011 final?

I decided not to try it after reading this article. Not sure if they've fixed it all yet so I may just hold off.

(Yes, I'm running 1012-003 Beta BIOS.) I also had stability issues. Uninstalling the NVIDIA IDE driver worked wonders for me. No more detection issues. And I have the same hard disk line as yours, the half-incompatible one that is.
