Guys i realy need ure help!I just dont know what to do about this problem!
Curently i am running 240x10 on my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe!Prime stable @ 1,4V!The problem is that when i go 250x10 i get what i think is SATA corruption! The screen start blinking and i get all sort of errors, system freezes for a moment then start again and this kind of things! The idea is that i dont get this at 240HT but i get it at 250!I set in bios the PCI to 33,still i get errors,i set then to auto, still SATA gets corrupted! If i boot @ 250 HT and get those errors i have to reinstall windows again! Why do i get this things only when i go to 250HT and not at 240 or 230 HT?Any ideas how to deal with this problem!I think my winchester 3200+ can do 2500MHz on stock voltages easy!My HDD is a 120 GB Seagate!I tryed even to put it form sata 1 to sata 3 port and still i get corrupted! When i boot and check with clockgen the PCI is @33 so its OK!What to do?

thanks to anyone that can help me!!

Just 10 tims ago i was primeing and @ 240x10 and my monitor sudenly shuts down!Ireset and when i get to winwods it tells me that i have some corrupted files! So this is happening at 240x10 to!I cant OC at all because of this problem! The CPU in stable @2,4GHz and at 2,5 GHz @1,4V but i cant go there! How can i fix this SATA Problem its geting on my nerves!

Plzzzzzz help me!

You are going about it all wrong. You need to be much more methodical about your overclocking process and take notes as you go. First, go to the CPU/Processors and Overclocking forum and read the 2 stickies there on "Quick and Dirty A64 Clocking Guide" and "Clocking Guide." You will almost certainly need to up your voltages above the stock 1.4 to get the kind of overclock you want. I am only running at 230x10 with memory 1:1 and I had to up my vCore to like 1.525 or something and DDR to 2.8 to get this Prime95 stable for 12 hours. The trick is isolate then consolidate. Read the sticky threads I mentioned above and you will understand.

[EDIT] Incidentally I had the same problem as you when I tried to push my A8N SLI with A64 3200+ too far. My SATA drive boot sector got corrupted and I had to reformat and reinstall Windows. Difference is I learned to back off after the first time!

" The marketing claims that it can transfer data at up to 150MB/second (making it faster than the fastest PATA Ultra DMA mode, mode 6 or 133MB/second) will not be seen with the SATA products that are shipping today (late 2003). "

This article is a little dated, no?

The information isn't new, but none then less its still true. SATA products are particularly sensitive to corruption errors and that article explains why.

I can go 230x10 on default vcore!Prime stable after 6 hours!

Well i updated to bios 1004 beta and the sata corruption is no more! But now something else in wrong:

i have 250x10 prime stable and in bios CPU vcore is 1,475 but in windows my CPU vcore is 1,5V!I se it with asus probe!

Another question is which is better:
Which is better?Memory@500Mhz@8 4 4 3 or memory@420MHz@10 3 3 2,5 or memory@lower than 400MHz@10 2 2 2?And is 3V on a corsair memory to much?It has HS on it!

Thanks for all the help, u guys rule!
