Hi ,

I just bought an ASUS A8N-SLI [ Non Deluxe Model ] for now while my Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR is in the process of RMA.

Anyway is there any utility like other motherboards to update the ASUS A8N-ALI BIOS within windows ,
like winflash or like with Abit Motherboards the "Abit FlashMenu" .

I updated last night to the latest . but i done it the way , make DOS disk boot too MS-DOS then at the A:\ Prompt remove DOS boot disk and put the BIOS disk with AWDFLASH.EXE and your new BIOS file.

I prefer to do it in Windows as its a lot easier so as im new to ASUS motherboards [ this is my first ] does anyone know of any utilitys for updating ASUS Motherboard BIOS ?

I assume you got a manual and a software CD with your board? Theyre not for show, you know :p

The Asus Update utility comes on CD with the board, at least it came with my Deluxe. You can also get the newest version on Asus' website under the downloads/utilities section.

Why did you have to RMA your DFI anyway? Was it easy to do so, as far as support goes?

I got that email today so i'll see in 3 days how it goes .

By the way , once i asked for a new BIOS chip for my NF2 Lanparty and the netherlands branch sent it to me within 2 days for free not even a postage charge :)
