Asus A8n SLI AGP?

Just making sure I didnt miss something, this motherboard does NOT support agp video cards at all correct? Sorry for the dumb question.

aj: it could support it and just because it says sli does not mean it wouldnt support agp. I think there is at least one mobo out there with pci-e and agp. so hehe don't laugh at people with simple questions you don't know the answer to. although the majority don't

There is an ECS mobo with PCI-E slots and a sort of cobbled up crippled AGP slot tacked on to the PCI bus. 😀

That AGP slot is slow and not totally compatible.

Yeah, but it's still not SLI.🙂

I don't think the nForce4 chipset even supports AGP. There is a Via chipset that will supposedly support both PCIe and AGP. There was a post from one of the guys at Via on www.viaarena.com where he had both a PCIe and AGP video card installed in the board and they both worked. Pretty cool.

I thought there was a rumour or maybe even fact of an Asus A8N deluxe coming out (non-SLI model) with just either AGP or a single PCI-E. maybe that would work.

I only repled to this thread because I don't like seeing people flame other people's questions like that. I never commented on the great performance that the agp/pci-e would have just that someone out there made an agp and pci-e board and that for someone to reply like haha you stupid idiot and not to give correct information is childish and ignorant.
