Asus a8n premium revision 1.2 old?

Hi

first post. Just bought the parts to my new rig. Bought a asus a8n premium, but the revision listed on the board is 1.2. I'm planing on using a amd X2 4200 but i'm worried that the board will cause trouble. Could anyone tell me if the revision 1.2 is an older model of the board. Haven't got a floppy drive so can't flash the bios. Can i get the computer to run so i can install windows and upgrade the bios from there with a X2 4200

don't worry mate. All Premiums are X2 ready. My 3800+ Toledo runs perfectly with it. 2.5ghz @1.35V CnQ enabled.

What has me worried is that the X2's aren't listed as supported on the box, that's why i thought that the retailer might have sold me an older revision. Do you know what revision your premium is?

mine is rev. 1.02, bought in 2005.

Mine is Rev. 1.02 also, and it says dual core ready on the box. OP, don't worry, your board is ready for your X2 chip.

The latest revision for Asus A8N-SLI Premium is 1.02. I got mine a year ago and it's also 1.02, so it's obvious that this the only revision made.
