I have Amd 64 wih asus a8n-e and 2 X 512mb ddr 400 corsair value select cas 2.5
nforce 6.53 or something and bios 1005

I do get artifacts in games
but my crashing might have gone now
with chronicles of riddick i too have flickering even with maybe 77.72

this game didn't crash for abt 1.5hr though earlier it might have crashed in less than an hr

also earlier ron used to crash but now even without 1005 it didn't crash for more than an hr.

do i need to change ram or check longer or RMA 6600gt.
 
Google for Memtest Plus; it is a DOS-based program that will let you check to see if your RAM is bad.

Then download ATITools, and use the artifact checker to see if your graphics card is bad.
