ASUS A8N-E question

After compiling a list of computer parts for my DCC workstation (http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=27&threadid=1639735), my brother saw that the motherboard I was going to get uses regular DDR memory. He said all mb's that have a PCI Express slot need to use DDR2 memory. I've checked on a lot of online retailers, the Asus website, and a ton of reviews, yet none of them state that this motherboard uses DDR2 memory at all. Here is what the memory specification is listed on ASUS's website:

4 x 184-pin DIMM Sockets support max. 4GB DDR400/DDR333/DDR266 ECC/ non-ECC unbuffered DDR SDRAM memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture

So, who do I believe? My brother or ASUS's website?

Your brother doesn't know what he's talking about 😉

He's thinking Intel, not AMD.
