i think my mb fan is dying.. so i want to replace it. Just wondering if that fan can be taken off from the front of the motherboard. I can't see the back of my motherboard unless i take the entire thing out which is really painful for me. If anyone know please tell me. Also what would be a good replacement for that fan? would anything be fine? i rather want something that will last but at the sametime not too expansive.

Thanks in advance.

You need to remove the whole MB, sorry.

I am using the ZM-NB47J W/O any fan on four different A8N-E's (they are OC'd too). I couldn't stand the noise. I usually build silent systems, so I replaced the chipset cooling solution on all the boards before I ever even installed them (except the first one).

I know it's a pain, but you (and your ears) will be happy. Take a few hours to do the swap. I think you'll be happy with the results. :)
