Dear Fellow Anandtech reader,
I have just built an new system. It has the Asus A8N-E Motherboard with 2 GB Mushkin Ram, a Maxtor 80 Ultra 133 IDE drive and a 250 GB WD Stata drive also. It has a Saphire Radeon X1300 video card.
My question of help is. When I boot the computer up. The Asus Logo that shows up with the option to press the DEL has a bit of a problem. The word that say press DEl to goto BIOS setup is fine and able to be read. But the graphic Logo has a problem. It is like all the colors are disoriented. Like it was at 16bit colors. I mean if is sometype of nice graphic it should look cool. But this graphic looks totally bad. But after that Boot screen goes away and Windows starts to load no problem at all. Can some one please tell me what can I do to fix this problem. I have gone in the BIOS and I have selected PCIEx for the video input and also I have looked and looked if it was something to do with the video memory in the BIOS that I had to specify. But I have not been able to locate a section in the BIOS that will let me select the Video Memory Size.
Also one more question. When i installed the AI PC probe and the Asus boster program. And I look at the display with all the information. It shows my FSB @ 800Mhz. Now this board is able to goto either 1000 Mhz or 2000 Mhz if I am correct. Please Please. Some one help me find out what can I do to get the FSB up. I have the AMD 3800+ AMD 64 X2 processor. I am running AMD Stock CPU Fan. Please help
