Asus A8N-E Bios update?

Hi all,I just installed a new Asus A8N-E mobo last week.I have a small problem and I think it might be a driver issue.The mobo is a rev 2.00.So my question is has anyone had to update there bios and the Nvidia chipset driver?My computer boots up to Windows XP with no problems.But when I double click a icon to open a program it locks up.Do you think it might be a mobo driver/bios problem?Everthing on this computer is brand new.All temps are great no problems with that.It has NOT been OCed at all.I have checked everything that I could,but I'am stuck .If you could give me a little help it would be great.

Which bios did it come with? If it were me, I'd go download the latest chipset drivers, install them and then load the newest bios which is now 1011.....

EndGame thanks for the info.I will update both.Starting with the chipset drivers.Maybe that will take care of the problem.Thanks again.
