Asus A8N Deluxe & Crucial Ballistix Memory

I have 1 GB ( 2 sticks of 512) Crucial Ballistix memory to put in an Asus A8N Deulze mobo. How should I put them in in order to utilize them optimally (without overclocking)? (I'm not familiar with "dual channel", etc.)

If your board is like mine (should be), then you have Color Coded DIMM slots.

1 & 3 should be one color, and 2 & 4 should be a different color. Put a stick in 1 & 3 and you should be set for Dual Channel.
