Asus A7V8X-X with a Sempron core

I have an old Asus A7V8X-X motherboard and was wondering if the new Sempron cores will work on it, specifically the Sempron 2600+ Palermo 800mhz FSB. Thanks.

Looks like you'll need a minimum of the 1012 BIOS to boot up with that processor. edit: errr, I should say, with a Sempron 2600+ that fits a SocketA CPU socket Palmero cores are for Socket754 and will not work on a Socket462 motherboard.
