My A7V8X does not come out of suspend.

The system goes into suspend normally. The power LED flashes. The monitor goes into standby.

When I press the space bar or move the mouse, the power LED becomes solid. The IDE (yellow) LED starts flashing. The monitor remains suspended and there is no video. After 1 minute and 18 seconds, the system automatically re-boots. Only then does the monitor come out of suspend. All my work is lost.

I RMA's the board and the replacement does the same thing.

An ASSUS tech suggested that I get a more powerful PS. I think that's absurd!. My Power Supply is a PC Power and Cooling Turbo Cool 350 W with the following specs:

Output +5V@32A
+12V@10A
-5V@0.3A
-12V@0.8A
+3.3V@28A
+5VSB@2.0A
+5V & 3.3V Output = 220W Max
Total Continuous Power = 350 W Max

The manual specifies that wakeup from keyboard or mouse requires +5VSB@2.0A, which this PS meets.

Does anyone have the same problem? Any suggestions?

You have the KBPWR1, USBPWR_12, USBPWR_34 and USBPWR_56 jumpers set for +5VSB, and enabled the keyboard and mouse wakeups in the Power > Power Up Control menu in the BIOS, right?

You might want to experiment with the Video Off Option and Video Off Method settings shown on page 4-27 of the manual too. Good luck, and welcome to the Forums! :)

Thanks for the quick reply mechBgone,

I have the keyboard and USB jumpers set to +5VSB. I tried it both ways.

I also tried all of the video off methods.

Any other ideas?

Oh yeah, I forgat to mention my BIOS is flashed to 1011.
