Anyone know if this board will support the 333Mhz FSB on the newer Athlons when they come out?

I don't want to buy one just yet unless it will support it.

Thanks!

Yes, all KT400 boards, inlcuding the A7V8X, and most KT333 boards will support the new 333mhz FSB Athlons..:)

Thanks. I guess I should have included this...

Will it have the proper PCI divider support so that I am not overclocking my PCI and AGP bus when going to 166(333) Mhz on the FSB?

Thanks!

IIRC, Via has stated that while the clock generator on all KT400 boards supports the correct divider for 200mhz FSB operation, the chipset itself does not. So, it appears no KT400 boards will have a 1/6 divider. :(

Yes, and most KT333 boards have the same feature. :)

No actually, the Soyo KT400 Ultra supports a 1/6 PCI divider, so you *should* be able to hit 200MHz FSB with your AGP/PCI buses at 66/33.

Evan, have you tested this option? I seem to remember Abit removing it from their AT7 Max2's bios, and a statement from Via followed saying that while the KT400's clock generator supported 200mhz FSB operation, their chipset did not, so no KT400 boards would do it. I will hunt around for a link. It would be interesting to get a final definitive word on this from somewhere.
