Hey guys - I seem to having a problem everytime I plug in my external hdd enclosure into the USB 2.0 port on my A7V333. I have a dual boot and in windows 2000 I get a BSOD everytime I plug it in and in windows ME the system just locks up and I get some error message....

I remember reading something about people having this problem awhile back but couldn't find anything on it again - i recall it having to do with some jumper settings on the board...

anyhow - i was wondering if anyone had any tips or fixes for this...thanks in advance!

P.S. fyi I tried the enclosure on my laptop usb 2.0 and it runs fine - and i'm running win xp on it

Another thing you might want to check into is to make sure you have all the Service Packs from MS installed. It seems that the same symptoms can happen if you do not have SP-1 installed with XP. The SP has the USB2 drivers included for the board. I know you aren't using XP but it's woth a shot.
