Hello!

I recently purchased an A7V333 (have upgraded to bios 1015) and I have 2 questions and was hoping you could help me out!

1. How do I get my USB keyboard/mouse to be recognized during the POST phase of the boot process? In the BIOS, there's a setting for 'legacy USB.' I have this enabled, but neither my USB keyboard/mouse work, without plugging in to the legacy PS2 ports.

2. My optical drive performance is SEVERLY poor. When doing anything with the drives (installing/burning), the rest of the system is rendered useless, meaning, I can't surf, open or do anything as the system is just too slow. Also, I burned my first CD this morning (I have a Plexwriter 32X) and it took about 7 minutes to burn using Nero. On my old bord (MSI kT7 (or something)), it took about 5 seconds. Bios is set to auto-detect, and W2K has the secondary IDE channel set to PIO.

Running an AMD 1200mhz with 256 Crucial DDR333-CAS2 ram.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Ry.

Just took a look at the manual for the A7V333, it doesn't mention any support for USB keyboards, so it may not support them. I know they will work with USB mice though, at least within Windows.
Change your IDE channel/devices transfer mode to "DMA if Availble".
