i have an ASUS A7V333 motherboard. My computer was surged by power- failure of a PK UPS. I replaced a power supply & a new motherboard from warranty claim.
Before this, my pc was rock stable & i had no problem with any applications. But now, my pc crashes in Windows 2000 & XP sometimes. Only sometimes when i run application like icq, Spides Solitare. Sometimes , MS EXCEL also crashes . My Win2k is on Service Pack 3 & XP on Service pack 1 .
However, i dun hav any problem playing games using Windows 98. I can run games like Countr -Strike, Half Life, Warcraft, Need For Speed: Hot Prusuit 2 , Need FOr Speed Prosche 2000, without any crashes ... it just run like normal !
My BIOS revision is 1015 and it's currently the latest.
My PC Specs are as below:
AMD Athlon XP 1700+
ASUS A7V333 raid ( disabled)
ELSA Gladiac 516 32MB
Creative SB LIve! D.E. 5.1
