VIA + Creative creates problems at times. Which Windows are you on? Check your volume control - see if it says Emu10k1. If it does, your VIA and your Audigy don't mix.

Edit: Check for Emu10k1 in the bottom left corner.

Did you install drivers from the CD or straight from creative? Generally speaking, installing from the CD is a much better choice, or else you lose a lot of compatability (like with speakers, for example). It will transmit in 2 speaker mode only if you don't install from the CD. If not from the CD, then see this thread.

If you did start from the CD, I don't know what to tell you. Try switching slots - if your sound card is in the slot next to your video card, I've heard that the IRQs will conflict. Move it to the 3rd or 4th PCI slot from the AGP.

Did you do a clean install of drivers,Creative drivers can get flaky if old sound card drivers are still left in the registry, make sure you`ve disabled onboard sound in BIOS,disable game port address & midi port address as well(in BIOS).Btw did you get the driver updates after CD install and reboot?

augidy, no wonder it doesn't work with creative drivers. 😉

Try the newest drivers from creatives website
