I just order my Soyo!
It is replacing the Asus A7V133.
I am thinking I will enjoy the Soyo more than Asus.
Will soon find out.

Yeah I thought about that too.
Even if NForce is at its best, I don't believe that it will beat Via
significantly. Via isn't really killing the N'Force now so there is room
for improvement. To me it won't be worth the money or the wait.

both are great boards, hard to choose. The nice nforce RAM bug makes me not want to let anyone buy one of those boards.

<< Does the onboard LAN perform as well as an aftermarket one? >>

Yes, it performs better for me then my old 3com and Linksys cards !

I did some performance benches at different sites and my cable modem is much faster...hands down.
That with some new cmedia drivers I d/l last night and the system plain rocks !

If you would read the forums most people AREN'T having problems with the ASUS. Good grief, before you make statements like that you'd better be prepared to back it up. Look at the 'official A7V266E' thread. Look at how many people complain. That's right, not many. I had a problem with the 1st board, the USB headers were, bad. Quickly took it back and got another and it's rock solid. No lockups, glitches, or anything. the ASUS board will be better than the Dragon (IMO) because of quailitly and stability. The Dragon smokes on benchmarks, but not so much more that you would notice anything.

Get an ASUS, but it sounds like it's too late.

I just got mine last weekend and didn't have any trouble configing it or have had a single lock up. Everything stock out of the box put up a 7100 3Dmark2001 score. I am vary happy with it so far. Best board I have owned to date.

Hey Austin, I looked at your rigs just incase you didnt update your sig, but they are talking about the Asus and Soyo KT266A boards. You seem to have an Asus A7A266, which is based on the ALi M1647 Chipset. Or maybe you just forgot to update both??

And in response to the topic of this thread, just ordered the Soyo and and XP1800!!! I am sooo excited about this board, saved me money cause I dont have to buy a sound card!!!
