Ok just got this board recently but having some problems with it in one of my systems.
I've tried many things to no avail,so was hoping maybe someone here had a similiar problem before i start flashing the Bios (And chances are it will freeze on me)
Ok the problem:
On the speed Post screen,Video post screen,DOS,even within windows the system will either freeze,or restart.
Things i've changed:
-Swapped out 4 PSU's - Generic 400W,Deer 250W,PowMax 400W,Sparkle 250W
-Swapped the Tbird 800 with a Duron 1000
-Swapped 3 different Vid Cards (PCI and AGP both)
-Pulled board from system, laid it on anti static bag
-Swapped 3 different type of DDR - Crucial and Kingston
-Tested with just CPU,Ram,and Vid Card
-Reset Bios
-Pulled battery out for 2 hours, reset Cmos jumper again
No matter what i have done, the system will still freeze on the Video info screen,CPU/Ram Post screen,in DOS,or sometimes it will make it to windows and run for a few, then lockup or restart.
Specs:
Asus A7V266-E - Newest Bios
Athlon Tbird 800
256Mb PC2100
Nvidia/ATI Video Cards
Was thinking on setting the Bios back one revision from the newest since thats pretty much the only thing i have not tried.
If by any hance anyone else knows what could be the problem here,i'd appreciate any info as i'm on the ropes with this puppy.
Thanks.
