I wouldn't really call this a problem, more an abnormality. When I use Asus Probe v2.12.09 I get a CPU temp of 55C/131F but when I check the Bios or use the third party monitor CPUCool I get 43C/109F. Has anyone else seen this problem?

yeah, both their bios readouts AND pc probe have been shown to be an average of 8 degrees off the actual temperature.

OK, I have a question on this subject. Everyone says that MBM5 is much more accurate at reading temp but it has to be taking its reading from my Asus board or from the bios right? So how can it be more accurate. Anyway, MBM5 seems to be listing the same temp as the bios on my A7V133.

Thx

I asked the programmer of MBM what the program does
and he answered it just reads the values as the probes
report them (like the bios).
Asus Probe just adds some degrees to this value to show
the real value because the temperature probe is outside
the CPU and not inside like in Intel CPUs.

I believe the Asus probe software is known to report temperatures 2-7 C higher than reported by most other temperature software.

I am getting approx same reading as you. The ASUS probe registers higher temp than the BIOS mode.

asus probe on *my* a7v, a7v133 reads same as mbm amd sisandra. For the bios, *assuming* in between 65-80% load only w/c is my idle.

On my A7V133 PC Probe displays 10 C. higher than the BIOS. So I dont know if my Tbird-900 is running at 40 or 50 C. !!! (the 50 C stated by Probe made me invest in a Silverado Cooler, but my Tbird is still very hot I think)
Somewhere I read that a problem with newer ASUS BIOS versions makes Tbirds run aprox 10 Deg. C. hotter in A7V and A7V133 boards, does anyone know if this is right?
