OK, I posted something about this before and got some responce and help. But I now have some more information to help solve my friend's problem. My friend just got a Asus a7v133 with 750mhz tbird, 128 mb ram, and a ATI Xpert 2000. Well, we put all this into the case and tried to get it to work. But on bootup, we recieve a beep error code that (from the manual) indicates that the video card is bad or has bad memory on the card. But I have ruled everything out related to the video card. I tried it in my Tyan S2380 and it worked. We also tried an old ATI pci video card and we got it to post. What I would like to know if it is possible for an AGP Pro slot to go bad on a "brand new" motherboard? I am going to try my Diamond V770 TNT2 U in his motherboard sometime soon. Also, the card we are trying (i think) is 2x and the board is obviously 4x and you cant change from 4 to 2 in BIOS. Any help on this is appreciated. I will let you know about the test of my video card.
