ASUS A7V133 1.02A BIOS

I understand that 1.02A is more stable and may help with my USB/IRQ problems.

Thanks anyway,
Karl

Kaps/Karl -
I am also having various USB problems with my A7V133. What problems are you having, and where did you hear that 1002a was better?

From the Windows 2000 Newsgroup.

Move the SoundBlaster card to slot 4 and reinstall the drivers. This seems
to be the best slot.

As for the USB problems, BIOS versions 1003, 1003a and 1004 for the A7V133
have caused serious problems for those with USB devices, including myself.

First, you should install the VIA USB FilerDriver V1.08 from
www.viatech.com.

If that solves the problem, great. If not...

The only way we have gotten our USB Scanners, Camera's, etc... back online
with the A7V133 is to downgrade to BIOS revision 1002a.

Hope this helps!

One BIOS version had problems miscounting RAM memory if I'm correct and I think is the 1002a. Maybe someone in the know could advise you more.
I used a USB scanner and mouse for a week with 1004 with no problems.
I do experience some instability though and it could be an IRQ conflict.
