ASUS A7V: WIN 98 doesn't recognize ZIP drive HELP!

The ASUS A7V (ver 1.02) w/ Bios (1004) recognizes the zip drive, but WIN 98 SE sees it as a Floppy drive (B or whatever drive that I assign it). I haven't installed IomegaWare yet but that shouldn't be a problem. I went to Iomega's site where the problem seems to be common. I tried it as a slave to my CD-ROM drive, I then made it master and my CD-ROM as slave, but to no avail. I followed all of Iomegas suggestions, even set it to NONE in the bios, but that didn't work. I've NEVER read a problem with A7V and Zip drives. I'm desperate here! I've tried everything. I currently have a WD 30GB as ATA 100 primary, CL 12X DVD as master on primary IDE and Panasonic Zip as slave, and Plextor 8x 4x 24x as master on secondary IDE. ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thanks in advance.
