Due to the problems I've had with my (2) K7T Pro2-A's, I'm going to buy a new KT133 motherboard. I'm thinking about the Abit (RAID) or the ASUS A7V, but I don't know if either will work with my 1.1Ghz Thunderbird. I'm using 6 IDE devices, and might have a RAID in a while, but I heard the Highpoint controller on the Abit isn't the best, but the A7V uses the Promise, which is what I want.

Do either support 1.1 (specifically the A7V)?

Thanks

Hey, lots of guys call their cars women, why not your computer? ;)

So the A7V OFFICIALLY supports 1.1GHz processors? What about the Abit?

True in Gone In 60 Seconds they all called the 50 cars girls names. I want an Eleanor, with Nitro. (I Can't Drive Yet. DAM.) But I think the Abit has similar features and should be able to support 1.1 too. Just one little tip. Have a good heatsink and fan for cooling as AMDs are good at heating things up, and it won't just be your head when it melts everything down.
