ASUS A7V USB Ports

I have tried for a couple of weeks now to get all the usb ports working off of the A7V, with no luck. I can only get the middle port working on the 3 port usb connector. All cables are connected correctly, i even have a spare asus 2 port and connected that to the extra usb header but nope nothing. Any ideas? Windows 2000 is the OS.

well whats odd is the onboard ports work fine.. its the ones off the extra headers don't.

maybe some of the connectors on the headers is bad? did you check to see if it works with an ohm/volt meter?(be careful though, i have never tried that, just the first thing that popped in my mind )

I also had the same problem, that the extra USB ports wouldnt work. I cured it with a reinstall of Win98 and installing Via's USB drivers.

It is strange though that the middle one works on your computer? Perhaps you could swap the extra USB header for a new Asus USB header and test it? I also think that some of the headers may be bad.
