I found a German site today dedicated to the Asus A7V. There was an article about all the available bios upgrades and what effect if any they had on the CPU Temp. They indicated that the 1003 Bios was the best overall available at this time. I pretty much new this already, because my board came with this bios and I have had none of the problems that everyone else seems to be having with the A7V. Here's my question in this article they stated that if you enable the PCI Master Read Caching in the Advanced Chip Setup it would lower your CPU idle temp by 7c. I tried this and it lowered my idle from 47c to 38c, but it also disabled my USB satelite Modem. I would love to use this setting, but I need my modem to connect to the internet. Anyone know a way to use these setting and still have my USB Modem?
Update:
For some strange reason my USB Modem is know working great with the PCI Master Read Caching Enabled.
This lowered my Temp from 48c to 38c on Sandra and my Motherboard Monitor. Don't know why but it sure works with ver 1003 Bios.
