Asus A7V Owners.

I have an Asus A7V rev 1.01 board running my Duron 600 @ 800 (1.7vcore)
I'm just wondering where the motherboard is getting the motherboard temperature reading from. The board didn't come with a CPU temperature sensor, I had to buy one seperately. But anyways In my Asus probe monitor software it constatly reads the motherboard to be 33 celsius, whereas my cpu ranges from 34 idle to 43 celsius under load.

Any clue where the onboard sensor for revision 1.01 is?
Any idea why they didn't give me a CPU thermal probe with my board?

Are u sure that your board is a 1.01 version? Later boards have the thermistor under the cpu in the middle of the socket.

Well, the Mainboard Chipset doesn't do much more when your CPU is at full load, so it is almost as cool as with an idle CPU.

And I bet that you've got a 1.02 or 1.03 A7V. Look, it's printed somewhere on the PCB 🙂
