Asus A7v or Abit KT7 Raid ?????

Both seem like great mother boards, but which one to chose? About to build a system with AMD T-Bird 1 ghz. Read the reviews and it seems like a dead heat. The Abit has Raid and that seems to be the only advantage . Am I right? Asus seems to have a great reputation and reviews say it is very stable.

Will I really need the Raid feature? Abit A7V seems to be much more expensive because of the Raid.

Would like to hear opinions from those who have experience with these boards.

going from posts here in the forums, the abit has the asus as far as stability goes. i have an asus myself, and after some initial headaches, it's running like a champ! i got it because i wanted the usb.

I on the other side have had nothing but problems* with the abit, so stay away if you can.

*=Radeon and sb live! dont like abit.

I have Abit KT7 RAID, SB Live and Radeon, and it works great.

About the KT7 vs. A7V, I guess they both have their pros and cons, but the SoftMenu is a great advantage the Abit has over the Asus! Even if you're not planning to overclock, the SoftMenu is still handy.
