Asus A7v motherboard with windows ME

I tried installing some hardware (I believe that was the problem) and when I restarted my computer after the login and password box is displayed (because of my network card) i always get a message....."in order for me to finish the hardware setup, windows needs to be restarted." I click on it and click on it and it brings me back to the same screen. According when I click no, windowsME starts up, but no C.D. rom drive is located (Kenwood 72X true-x) because my "pci-mass storage drivers" can not be located. I must have deleted them somehow or something, the whole channel is off. The problem is, i can't browse the windowsME cd for the driver because the cd is on that channel. Anyways, I was hoping someone with an Asus A7v motherboard and with WindowsME and go to their properities section, click on "system" check out their ide controllers and "mass storage controller" and tell me the name of the driver which i need. Hopefuly someone and point me into a direction where I can download the driver or you could send it to me. Please help. Thanks, Aclipse.

Try this : plug your HD in a ata66 ide channel. After that install the promise drivers on the Asus CD and then plug it back in Ata100.

I recommend the new 1005A bios from Asus. Fixed a lot of small 'issues' for me.
