Hi,

I accidentally broke a capacitor off my Asus A7V motherboard while inserting a CD-rom drive.

The capacitor is (was :)) located between the CLRTC and 3VSBSLT jumpers and is labelled CE30 on the board (in facts there are several labels in the area - but I think CE30 is the capacitor). The capacitor is marked with the following "Sanoy 1000uF 6.3V 105 degrees S.E.04 C G".

To my big surprise everything still worked when I turned on my PC again.

What should I do???

The capacitor must have some function since it is mounted on the motherboard!

Should I buy another capacitor and solder it onto the board? (The legs broke off the capacitor when it broke off - so the legs are still sitting on the board).

Any information or hint would be VERY welcome!
