After I flashed from 1004D to 1005A, It automatically changes to Optimal setting every time and causes instability, anyone else with 1005A have their A7V automatically set to optimal? You can change it to default, but then you come back to that screen and it's on optimal.

I'm having the same problem. I'm also having frequent crashes while gaming (currently on 1005a). 1003 was the most stable.
Anyone know of a 1003 hack that fixes the secondary IDE prob in win2K?

yeah, it's called 1004, and it sucks ass.

it also sets itself to optimal everytime even though i want normal. so hopefully it won't crash, otherwise i am going back to 1004d.

although, after seeking for drives at the promise bios screen, it told me drive boot failure and something. it seems that it looked at the floppy and then displayed this message. i pressed enter and the system boots from the hard drive.

figured it out, take it out of softmenu mode to jumper mode and the setting stays on normal, it's stable now, but I also had to take my TV card out.
