How do i do it? I have no dos prompt. I look at Asus's sight and did not see anything that had to do with flashing bios in win2k. A little help would be appreciated.

Get a Win9x boot disk and boot up clean with that, then use the DOS based AFLASH.EXE. Reliable and works every time.

Using the Windows based flasher always seems to have problems.

You can Flash yours' in Windows. I have flash my A7V in W2K to version 1004C. Use the utility called asusupd.exe when you run the utility it'll look for the latest BIOS from the Asus. But I would download the BIOS and then run the asusupd.exe utils.

I already tried asusupd.exe but after it gets done extracting and starts getting ready to install it says it is missing the BS_LOAD.DLL anyone know why?

Did you download the BIOS files first or did you do it within the asusupd.exe applicatition? My BIOS update went pretty smoothly I don't know why alot of people are having problems

do what andy said...get the flashing program and .bin file for asus's website and put them onto a floppy. Boot your box up using a 95/98 boot disk and then put in the other floppy and run the flashing program. Piece of cake.
