I have a 900mhz T-bird with an a7v motherboard and a asus 7100 geforce2 mx graphics card. Does anyone know how to safely set the AGP to 4x? Nvidia says their drivers have it stuck in 1x because of stability issues with a7v motherboards. If you change the setting in the bios, it doesn't change it for the display in windows for some reason. Any suggestions?

I have a 900T-Bird, A7V, and Prophet II MX. Everything works fine in 4X if you install the VIA 4 in 1 Drivers on the motherboard CD. It froze if I didn't install these drivers. Do you have the BIOS 1.004? I know the AGP is running at 4X because my Quake frames jump from 150 to 190, from Normal (2X) to Optimal (4X).

I have the exact same problem. My asus a7v has trouble running in anything higher then 1x agp with my Creative Geforce 2 Ultra. Anyone have any suggestions?

My mobo drivers and geforce drivers are all current, and i've installed the 4 in 1 drivers for my motherboard.
