Hi guys,

Has anyone heard about the Asus A7S8X-MX motherboard? The specs looks pretty good for $45 bux here, but I wasn't able to find any reviews on it.

The specs looks good, the integrated video (128), sound(5.1), and LAN seems to be quality stuff. This is one of the better and cheaper board I have seen. Since I have a bunch of spare parts from work(XP 2700+, 1 gig ram, and 120 gig HD), all I need is a case and a DVD from Newegg to put everything togeter. I'm buildin this for my brother, who doesn't play much games.

Anyone have this board? Any good reviews? I did do a search and was unable to find anything on it.

Thanks!

SiS 741 chipset, mini-micro-ATX format, includes an AGP if he decides to upgrade from the built-in graphics. Pretty skimpy on PCI (two instead of the usual three for mATX).

:(

I'm not too worried about the built-in graphics. 128 Megs is plenty for simple games/surfing.

As for the PCI slots, since the sound card and lan is already built-in, the only thing I have is an extra TV Tuner card to put in. Thanks for the link!

Anyone have a formal review?
