Asus A7N8X-VM onboard LAN problem

Hi!

I have installed many computers in my life, but this one I just can't figure out. I just can't get the onboard LAN to work on this motherboard. Clean install of XP, installed all the updates and the latest nForce2 drivers downloaded from nVidia. I have tried exchanging the mobo without any progress.

The network indicates a 100mbit connection, but I'm not able to reach anything. It got IP from the DHCP server and everything. When putting in and external NIC, it works immediately.

I really don't like the sollution to put in an external NIC addon, since it definitely should work with the built in "nVidia MCP Networking Controller".

Please help!

Thanx,
/Frank
