For me, this is the one board I'm looking forward to since it fits my needs and most of my wants. The only problem is that it was supposed to be introduced by Asus during the second half of May, but there doesn't seem to be much news on the Asus site and the online vendors I've checked aren't selling them. Does anybody have inside knowledge or know when this board will enter U.S. distribution channels? Any clue as to expected price?

I found that Knowledge Micro is selling two units on eBay for $105 but isn't sold on their site. I'm guessing they're not domestic retail units and are otherwise specially ordered units. Links to auctions (obviously, not mine):

edit 6/14: Looks like Asus (US) just added the board to their website within the past day. All is good in the world. :)
edit2 6/16: NewEgg's added it to inventory as well. :)

wow, that is a well thought-out and designed motherboard. most of the time mobo makers throw sh!t on the boards that people don't need (like 6 PCI slots or gameport slots) and forget useful things (like firewire). kudos to asus for thinking a design through.

Well it's a microATX board so 6 PCI slots would be tough. :p But there's an onboard serial port and, IMO something highly desired, no northbridge fan! Just about every other nforce2 uATX board I've seen has a fan.

After a day or so, I found two vendors who just added the board to inventory: allthingstech.com ($106) and compuvest.com ($115). So maybe things are looking up. :)

I suggested it to Newegg as an item they should carry.
