Ok, I just got an Asus A7N8X-DX & 2100+. I have all settings at default, CPU jumper at 266/333. Power it on and 1500+ comes up instead of 2100+. It stops before it posts and says it has a new CPU. I go into the Bios and sure enough it shows 100mhz x 12.5/13 which is what a 1500+ is. I change it to 133mhz for the 2100+. Save/exit. Reboots and instead of a single beep for all good I get very fast beeping which the manual says is CPU over heating (can't be) or underclocked. I've cleared the cmos, and repeated this a few times with the same results.

It will run at 100x12.5/13 fine but won't at 133x12.5/13 stock timing. I am overclocking somthing else going to 133? What am I doing wrong?

And yes the CPU says AX2100 on the top (1st thing I checked).

Thanks for any help
Rich

When I first put in my unlocked Tbred-A 1800+ in my new A7N8X, it showed up at 1250 MHz or so. I then changed the 133 jumper to 100 MHz. Then booted into BIOS, change to 133 MHz FSB. Then changed back to 133 MHz jumper and booted into BIOS and set 133 MHz. Then it worked as 1800+. I think just try around a bit. But be careful when you Save And Exit, spend > 2 seconds between each keypress. My board is one of those that died on Save and Exit and I never revived it after that.

Pjotr,

Thanks for the tips I'll give it a try. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem.
