ASUS A7N8X Deluxe MB: ATX or ATX12V pwr supply?

I am upgrading my power supply. I have an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe MB with AMD XP2700 CPU.

The MB manual only references the ATX power supply.

Can I use an ATX12V power supply?

Is there an advantage to having ATX12V in that it will handle future MB updates?

What makes sense?

An ATX 12V power supply just means it has the extra 4-pin 12V power connector which was originally used for P4 systems. Many systems now use it for both AMD and Intel boards, it can't hurt to have it.

Don't get one with a 24-pin ATX power connector though. I think those are backward compatible, but on this board there may be components too close to the power socket to fit.
