System worked fine when I had my Athlon 2000 and 3 sticks of 512mb Crucial PC 2100 ram. I upgraded to an athlon 2600 (333mhz FSB) and 3 sticks of 512mb PC2700 crucial. When all 3 sticks are installed windows XP pro will give BSOD with some memory errors. When any 2 of the 3 are installed I have no problems. Also when all 3 are installed but the memory is under clocked to 266 there is no problem. any ideas?

This is a known problem with the nForce2 and Crucial PC2700. Last I heard Crucial switched to Samsung chips on their 2700 DDR to correct the problem.
Perhaps you can return the RAM for a newer version or get another kind of RAM.

Yeah, it sucks and was apparently mishandled by Crucial.

thanks for the info. so my choices are

1. sell all 3 chips and by 3 new non-crucial chips.
2. sell 2 chips and buy a 1gb crucial 2700 chip.
3. run only two chips.
4. run all 3 chips underclocked.
