ASUS A7N266-C: Onboard audio worth it?

Hey all! I just purchased an Asus A7N266-C mobo (that comes with the onboard Dolby Digital audio) for a new system. The only thing from my current system that I would consider keeping is my Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 card. Question: Is the onboard audio the same quality as the Sound Blaster or would it be better to keep the Live! 5.1 card and use that instead? Thanks!

If you have a 4 or 4.1 speaker setup (or even 5.1), you may want to think about hanging on to your SBLive card for a little while longer. A lot of people (including myself) had problems getting sound from rear speakers with the onboard sound on the A7N266-C. The beta drivers work OK and enable rear speakers, but the bass response is terrible when the fade is centered. I have mine set more toward rear speakers to get decent bass out of it. The sound is very good and EAX actually works very decent in games, but it's not without its problems until they can get it fixed.

If you only have 2 (or 2.1) speakers, then you shouldn't have any problems at all.
