ASUS A7M266 Problems Solved

Last weekend I replaced an A7V133 with an A7M266, with the new, lower Crucial DDR prices and the system REally Flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys. I did run into two problems that I have seen some mention in this forum, the system refusing to boot or stalling. My problems were:

1) NetGear NIC Card, this board needs the 3Com NIC.
2) Two Amp power supply Required! I had a 300 watt, 1.5 amp power supply and it wasn't strong enough to drive it through initialization. A new 300 watt, 2.0 amp worked like a charm.

Other than this, the system purrs like a cat, a jet powered cat.

Note, the A7V133 was only days old and the dealer let me swap it out. It was fine and fast just not as fast as the A7M266. Final note, the HD speed is also Much better with the A7M266 and it doesn't have the Promise HDC, interesting!!!
