Asus A7m266 on Reboot doesn't recognize IDE2 (CDrom/DVDrom)

I have an Asus A7m266 mobo with a 120gig WD on IDE1 and IDE2 has lite-on 24x burner (primary) and LITE-ON 16X DVD LTD-163 (secondary).

BIOS is set to automatic detection for all four (IDE1(p/s), IDE2(p/s))

If i do a cold, hard boot, everything is recognized fine.
If I do a warm reboot (reset button) or soft reboot (restart through windows) the BIOS doesn't pick up the CD or DVD when going through POST....it tries to detect, finds nothing and then continues on with booting. I haven't tried putting something else on IDE2 or putting one of them on IDE1..i guess i should try that....nevertheless....

It's rather annoying to always have to use the power button to reset the computer (let alone dangerous for the computer as a whole) so I was wondering if anyone knew what might be wrong here...

thanks in advance for any help.

You Can also try setting the drives for CS (Cable Selcet) WD HDs are notorious for not liking CDROMs as primary even if they are on different channels
