Asus A7M266 - Multipliers via BIOS fix?

Since the BIOS of this board lists the multiplier (just not changable) is it likely there will be a BIOS update (or a hacked BIOS update) to add the ability to change multipliers with this board through the BIOS? I'm very pleased with the speed and responsiveness of this board (very stable so far too), but I have an AXIA chip that is worthless for overclocking if I can't bump the speed up :( I know there is a soldering solution to this problem:

But I don't like the idea of all that work that may also damage the board (and not sure if I'm capable)... Ideas? TIA,

Kyle...
From what I have read, AMD has stated several times that there will not be a bios forthcoming that supports multipliers. There is a detailed mod for adding dipswitches that is widely available. There are several people working on hacking the bios, but none have found software that will allow them to do this, especially considering that they are dealing with a beta bios.
If you want the AMD chipset, I would suggest the MSI K7 master. It has been acclaimed as the most stable and highest performing 760MB by the German magazine "Chip" and on Chip Online, who compared the MB with 12 others...Good Luck!

Maybe we can start a petition to Asus to provide us with a BIOS that will allow clock multiplier modification. The company is obviously not dead set against this feature, as it's available on other mobos with different chipsets.
Any thoughts?

aznmist...you are a hardhead. Check out fasteddies post on the amdzone forum. How do you suppose he came about these multipliers? They are in his bios, just like mine...

You stated that"no it doesn't! I'm pretty sure.. someone settle this please!", in reference to my statements that the msi k7master has multipliers in the bios...Please read the flow of the thread...I stated previously in the thread that the Asus MB did not..
