Asus A7M266 Mobo

Hey all, I just had a question. I heard that the ASUS A7M266 Mobo was discontinued.Is that true and if it is why? It was the best performing AMD motherboard out there! Thanx

My distributor shows it as discontinued, but there are retailers that still have the board. It will cost you about $200 for one. DO a search here on the motherboard forums for A7M266 and you will find lots of posts and some will give you places that may still have them in.

If you can't get one go with the MSI K7 MASTER. Real nice board.

The Asus board is still available. Tech Data and Ingram Micro still show it available in the states. I own two of them and love them. I would actaully buy the Epox 8K7A at this time if you want excellent performance and overclocking features. The MSI K7 Master is a good board but cannot touch the Epox/Asus/Gigabyte 7DXR boards in performance. If you are tight on funds go with the FIC AD11.
